I know of 6 people who have gotten pregnant just this senior year… I don’t think The Secret Life of the American Teenager, nor 16 and Pregnant are sending the right messages.

I’ve known people throughout high school who have gotten pregnant, but not quite as many this year.

And half of them, it happened at parties.

Two (that I know of) don’t know who the father is.

It’s a really sore subject with people.

I don’t believe age can determine if you can be a parent or not. God, or the universe, or nature whatever you believe wouldn’t make it possible for pregnancy to happen to girls at such a young age if it was “impossible”. I am not condoning it, but I do know the handful of friends of mine who have had kids and they pushed through it.

It’s possible, it very much is. Many people say it ruins your life, and while it is debatable, I wouldn’t say I ruined my parent’s life when I was born… so what makes anyone different by their age?

Its just sad that some girls are missing out on their senior years because of it. Make the best of it, girls, I believe in you.
